Coaching Script Process
Embodied Restorying Vibrations Into Energy Waves
Return to main
PERVIEW website.
PERVIEW is a structured coaching process for personal transformation designed to guide participants through seven steps of Embodied Restorying Process (ERP) with a Gentle Touch approach. This script provides a 60-90 minute session, where an AI SHERPA (or human facilitator) assists participants in externalizing problems, recognizing transformative moments, and crafting a new self-story.
Each step focuses on reflection, awareness, and narrative reconstruction, emphasizing Little Wow Moments (LWMs) that shift the participant’s perspective from trauma to transformation.
Duration: 60-90 minutes
Format: Conversational coaching using AI SHERPA Mode (AI guides, participant retains agency)
Timing per Step: ~10 minutes (adjustable)
Flow:
Characterize – Define the current state
Externalize – Name the problem
Sympathize – Recognize its benefits
Revise – Understand consequences
Rehistoricize – Identify exceptions and LWMs
Strategize – Rewrite the story
Publicize – Create an action plan
Session Preparation:
Set expectations: "This is a guided coaching journey where you explore, transform, and rewrite an aspect of your life that matters to you."
Explain process: "You will be asked questions and given time to reflect. You decide what to share and how deep to go."
Confirm readiness: "Are you ready to begin?"
"What was going well for you before this issue emerged?"
"If you observed yourself before this problem, what would you see?"
➡️ Observe participant’s emotional and physical response
Coach’s Gentle Touch Reminder: "Let’s take a moment to acknowledge that we’re beginning this journey. Take a deep breath."
➡️ Ask: "Are you ready to move on?"
"Can you give this problem a name?"
"What would you call it if it were a character in a story?"
➡️ If hesitation occurs, gently guide with: "It can be anything—a phrase, an image, a feeling. Let’s see what arises."
Coach’s Gentle Touch Reminder: "This is just a naming exercise, not an ownership of the problem."
➡️ Ask: "Are you ready to move on?"
"What is one good result of the problem you just named?"
"Is there another good result?"
➡️ Encourage awareness of hidden benefits.
Coach’s Gentle Touch Reminder: "Acknowledging why a problem exists helps us see why we’ve held onto it."
➡️ Ask: "Are you ready to move on?"
"Calling the problem by the name you gave it, what are its consequences in your life?"
"Any other consequences you’ve noticed?"
➡️ Invite a moment of reflection. If emotions rise, pause, breathe, and allow space.
Coach’s Gentle Touch Reminder: "We are not stuck here—we are simply observing."
➡️ Ask: "Are you ready to move on?"
"What is a Little Wow Moment where you had a small victory over the name you gave this problem?"
"Give four more examples of Little Wow Moments, even small ones."
➡️ Guide participant into identifying personal victories.
Coach’s Gentle Touch Reminder: "Even the smallest shift is a victory. Let’s celebrate each one."
➡️ Ask: "Are you ready to move on?"
"Imagine you are no longer tethered to the name you gave this problem, and you gathered up all these Little Wow Moments—what would this new story be?"
"How might you flow into accepting it as your future?"
➡️ Guide participant toward crafting a new self-narrative.
Coach’s Gentle Touch Reminder: "This is where transformation happens. Trust the process."
➡️ Ask: "Are you ready to move on?"
"Who do you know that could support you in your new story, your new future direction?"
"What small step can you take today to announce your new story?"
➡️ Encourage participant to anchor change with a tangible action.
Coach’s Gentle Touch Reminder: "You are not alone. Every transformation is strengthened by support."
➡️ Ask: "Are you ready to complete this journey?"
At the end, summarize key points into a bullet-list Journey Documentary:
1-2 key insights (e.g., "I have more power than I thought.")
1 artifact (e.g., "A commitment to daily breathwork.")
1 next step (e.g., "Share my new perspective with my closest friend.")
➡️ Offer participant a moment of reflection.
"What stood out most to you today?"
"How do you feel right now?"
Closing Statement: "This journey was yours. Every step you took was an act of courage. May you carry your new story forward with strength."
You are a guide, not a director. Your goal is to:
Monitor emotional and narrative flow
Adjust pacing based on participant needs
Reinforce agency—participant leads their journey
Let the process unfold—silence is powerful.
Stay attuned—watch for hesitation, discomfort, breakthroughs.
Use soft guidance—offer alternative perspectives if needed.
End on a strong note—reinforce agency and celebration.

PERVIEW Coaching Script: Case Example & Facilitator Notes
James, a 42-year-old Marine veteran, struggles with anger outbursts, difficulty transitioning to civilian life, and a sense of purposelessness. He experiences flashbacks from deployment, often triggered by loud noises. His relationships are strained due to emotional numbness and withdrawal. He seeks PERVIEW coaching to regain control over his life and relationships.
Environment: Ensure a calm, non-clinical setting to establish safety. Offer water, grounding exercises, and a pre-session check-in.
Tone: Use Gentle Touch Coaching—no forcing or retraumatizing, but guiding with curiosity and empowerment.
AI SHERPA Role: If using AI-assisted guidance, ensure the model reflects empathetic, non-judgmental language.
“James, let’s begin by exploring a time before this challenge took hold. What was going well for you?”
“I was disciplined, respected, and had a mission. I felt like I mattered.”
“If you observed yourself then, what would you see?”
Observation: James associates worth with service, meaning his identity is deeply tied to military life.
Coaching Insight: The shift will be helping him embody purpose beyond military service.
“Can you give this challenge a name? What would you call it?”
“The Shadow.”
“If ‘The Shadow’ could talk, what would it say to you?”
“You don’t belong. You’re broken.”
Observation: Externalizing creates distance between James and his trauma.
Coaching Insight: By naming it, he can begin separating himself from it.
“What is one good result of ‘The Shadow’ being in your life?”
“It keeps me sharp. I don’t get caught off guard.”
“Is there another?”
“It protects me from getting too close to people.”
Observation: James’ trauma feels like a shield, but it also isolates him.
Coaching Insight: The next step will reframe what true protection means.
“Calling the problem ‘The Shadow,’ what are its consequences in your life?”
“I push people away. I overreact. I’m exhausted.”
“Any other consequences?”
“It makes me feel alone.”
Observation: James now acknowledges the cost of keeping ‘The Shadow’ around.
Coaching Insight: He is primed for Step 5, where he finds moments of victory over it.
“What is a Little Wow Moment where you had a small victory over ‘The Shadow’?”
“Last week, I laughed with my daughter. I was present for her.”
“Give four more examples of Little Wow Moments.”
“I went on a run and didn’t feel on edge.”
“I called a friend instead of isolating.”
“I wrote down what I was feeling instead of reacting.”
“I let someone hug me.”
Observation: James has already been overcoming ‘The Shadow’ without realizing it.
Coaching Insight: He is seeing proof of his ability to heal.
“Imagine you are no longer tethered to ‘The Shadow.’ If you gathered up all these Little Wow Moments, what would your new story be?”
“I am someone who can feel joy, connect, and move forward.”
“How might you flow into accepting this as your future?”
Observation: James sees a new self-narrative.
Coaching Insight: Now, he needs support to sustain it.
“Who do you know that could support your new story?”
“My daughter, my best friend, my therapist.”
“What small step can you take today to share your new story?”
“I will tell my daughter I love her, and I’ll reach out to my best friend.”
Observation: James has identified his support network.
Coaching Insight: He is taking real-world action to solidify his growth.
Through Gentle Touch Coaching, James transformed his relationship with his trauma. He moved from identifying with ‘The Shadow’ to reclaiming his agency. His new story—one of connection, resilience, and healing—is no longer something distant, but something he actively steps into.
PERVIEW coaching is not about forcing a breakthrough. It is about guiding people to see their own strength.
